“Now he was master of his website, and he was not quite sure what to do next. But he would think of something.”

~ Liberally lifted from, and with apologies to, Arthur C. Clarke, 2001: A Space Odyssey

Hello there, and welcome!

I see you made it over to my website, the place where I share my stories both true and fanciful, wide-ranging photography, and loosely crafted (but seriously tasty, the Kids tell me) recipes. If I didn’t like ’em, you wouldn’t see ’em.

There’s something for most all your tastes here:  Look around and go click-happy.  Stories can be found in the TOP menu; photos and recipes are on the RIGHT.

Of some interest – well, interest to me, anyway: I was interviewed Sunday, March 19, on local radio station KRFC. Did you somehow miss it? Well, you can hear the first part of it here.

Are you interested in longer reading? You can buy my fiction stories, shorter and longer, for a very reasonable price. Click here for my Amazon author page.

Two, count them, two major announcements

First: New release!

Death Hangs in the Balance

Death Hangs in the Balance anner

This is a novel of post-apocalypse. Warning: No zombies. No chess game between divine forces of Benevolence and Malice using humanity as the game pieces. No killer robots.

This is a tale of you ‘n’ me in a world where almost all of humanity has taken the Big Dirt Nap, for a reason that gets exposition as you read along. There are at least one of each: a Villain, Hero, Love Interest, Curmudgeonly Babblings, Plucky Youngster, Cooperation, Conflict, Despair, and Resolution. And other characters that we come to love. Or not.

Second: Both my full-sized novels (The aforementioned “Death” and below-mentioned “Tomas“) are now available in print!  Just for those of you (like me) who prefer turning pages rather than swiping/tapping edges.

$11.95 for the print version; $8.95 for the electronic download.

I’m working on print forms for the novellas and short story collection. So here are the rest of my stories, listed:

Tomas

A story of suspense involving an earnest private investigator and a reclusive “miracle man.” It has legal drama and corporate intrigue. It has some nice turns and a really neat twist. It’s good, I swear!  $8.95 for e-version, $11.95 for print.

Chance Encounter

A straightforward and engaging of suspense. It’s a novella. Great beach read.  $1.99 for download. Print version coming soon!

Out of Time

An archaeological (or is it?) mystery novella. Thoughtful and spooky and carries my best title ever. You’ll see why.  $1.99 for download. Print version on its way!

Up and Down

A collection of short stories, from suspenseful to macabre to unsettling. Even a shot at humor!  Same download price as the other shorter works, $1.99. And like the others, this will soon be available in print.

By the way: Do you know how hard it is to write, “It’s good, I swear,” and, “Great beach read” when you’re talking about yourself? But if I didn’t mean it, I wouldn’t say it.

Don’t forget to leave me a comment!

If you stumble across anything interesting here, or perhaps perplexing, it would please me to no end if you left a comment regarding it. And we all like to be pleased without end. And hey, if I see it, I will respond.   Even if you just want to assure me that I’m making sense when I’m telling you something I think I know about.  It helps my self-esteem.
